Óbidos is set to welcome a new standard in luxury tourism with the West Lake Eco Resort. Spanning around 17,000 m², the development will feature 135 stylish accommodation units, ranging from T1 to T3 layouts, many with the option of a private pool.
Designed by the Iberian consultancy Quadrante, the resort seamlessly blends modern comfort with nature. Residents and guests will enjoy an array of amenities, including a restaurant, spa, gym, co-working spaces, tennis and padel courts, water sports, and scenic walking trails – all designed to combine wellness with the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape.
Sustainability is at the heart of the project. Eco-friendly materials, bio-lakes and pools, and careful integration of the site’s natural features, from sunlight and terrain to vegetation, ensure that every detail honours the environment.
“All the Lakehouses use prefabricated timber systems, streamlining construction while preserving the aesthetic and functional integrity of a design that seeks harmony with nature, in both material and colour,” explains João Miguel Pinto, Head of Sustainable Cities at Quadrante. “We also incorporated life cycle analysis and energy and water efficiency strategies, establishing a new benchmark for conscious luxury tourism.”
West Lake Eco Resort is poised to redefine lakeside living in Óbidos, offering a rare combination of elegance, sustainability, and connection to nature.
