A new luxury development is about to be built in Northern Portugal. The new build includes 24 luxury villas overlooking the Douro River at the beginning of the Douro Valley, just a few kilometres from the cities of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia. Douro Village, as the new development will be called, is being built in Foz do Sousa in the municipality of Gondomar, and the first 6 villas should be completed by the end of the first half of 2021.
The villas are of being advertised as having T3+1 typology, made up of 3 suites, a spacious living room, kitchen, closed garage with capacity for 2 cars and a rooftop terrace with the possibility of having a hot tub. This is according to the real estate agency, Medium, which is marketing the development. The area of the plots of land varies between 140.30m2 and 278.70m2, while the construction area varies between 267.60 and 273.50m2.
With panoramic views of the Douro River as one of the great differentiating elements of this stunning development, Douro Village has been designed by the HMVN architecture office and is managed by the developer Adopthouse. However, breathtaking views of the Douro is not the only thing that these wonderful new homes have to offer. "This development is valued for its design, construction quality, comfort and the tranquillity of waking up next to the Douro", explains Pedro Fernandes, the Commercial Director of Medium Imobiliária and responsible for marketing the villas for sale in the Douro Village development.
Douro Village is located "in a breathtaking area that has the Douro River as its main attraction, in a transition area between 2 territories that are world heritage sites: the historical city of Porto and the wine region of Douro; landscapes of indescribable beauty", Pedro Fernandes also stresses, while also stating that the properties have other "factors of attraction", including their proximity to the cities of Porto, Vila Nova de Gaia, Gondomar, Maia, Valongo and Matosinhos.
