Cascais is going to home to a new luxury development. Called Sandwoods, this private development will consist of 39 houses, with three and four bedroom typologies, as well as six apartments with one to four bedrooms. All houses have a garden and private pool. The Avenue promoter's project represents an investment of 70 million euros.
The project was designed by Bernardes Arquitetura, given "the challenge of integrating this condominium in its surroundings", according to the statement sent to the press. "The concept appealed to symbiosis, harmony and respect for existing nature, so that the intervention had the least possible impact on the surrounding forest," it also reads.

The development made up of of 39 villas ('known as Pool Villas') and 6 apartments ('Main House'), is fully integrated in an extensive pine forest area, with an area of 88 thousand m2, which served as an inspiring motto for the development of the project, which is being marketed by JLL and Porta da Frente in co-exclusion. The 'Pool Villas' are two-storey houses, either detached or semi-detached, with three and four bedroom typologies. They have an exclusive pool, private parking and large wooded gardens.
The 'Main House', consisting of six one to four bedroom residences, is the result of the rehabilitation of an existing house. It comprises four ground floor units with private gardens and two units located on the upper floor with large verandas opening onto nature. It also has a Victorian-inspired swimming pool of around 150 m2.

Sandwoods also offers several common leisure areas, such as: condominium room with space for parties, community vegetable garden, tennis court, basketball court and natural trails for running and walking.
"Energy production solutions were also applied, using photovoltaic panels and solar panels, favouring certified and low-impact electrical equipment and construction materials. The home automation system, present in all the houses, simplifies daily life and makes the houses even more efficient", adds the promoter.
For Aniceto Viegas, CEO of Avenue, "Sandwoods materialises Avenue's growing priority in favouring sustainable investments". "We feel it is urgent to reinforce our commitment at the level of ecological awareness, integrating in our projects substantial environmental objectives and that are materialised in technical solutions that reinforce our contribution to sustainable growth," he adds.
