It's fair to say there's life beyond fashion. Italian luxury brand Dolce & Gabbana, founded by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana in 1985, has broadened its horizons and will also invest in the property sector. And in the premium segment, of course. It will initially build three developments: in Marbella (Spain), Miami (USA) and the Maldives.
According to a report in the Spanish press, in the case of the Marbella project, which is the result of a partnership between Dolce & Gabbana and the Spanish developer Sierra Blanca Estates, which specialises in the luxury real estate segment, a complex with five buildings, of four or five floors, is involved, which will have 60 flats of various types.
The project planned for Marbella, which will be born on the so-called "milla de oro", a promenade stretching for five kilometres off the coast between Puerto Banús and Pirulí, will have almost 90,000 square metres (m2), also including the construction of commercial properties such as shops and restaurants.
Sierra Blanca Estates already has experience in this type of business, notably in property partnerships related to world-renowned fashion brands. In January 2022, it was announced that Karl Lagerfeld was also going to invest in the luxury property market in... Marbella. And with the "help" of the Spanish company, which will be responsible for bringing the project to life. The creative direction, brand image and design will be carried out by Karl Lagerfeld's office, with the support of The One Atelier, a studio specialising in the real estate sector.
This is the Karl Lagerfeld Villas Marbella, which will occupy a total area of 9,670 m2. Each villa will have areas of 660 m2, 695 m2, 705 m2, 805 m2 and 845 m2 respectively).
