The world’s largest women‑only trail event, SheUltra, is heading to the Algarve in 2025, bringing a celebratory weekend of running and walking along Portugal’s sunny coast.

SheUltra: what it's all about

SheUltra is a women‑only trail movement with a clear purpose: bringing women together across the UK, Italy and Portugal through shared effort and solidarity.

In the Algarve, your entry directly supports awareness and education campaigns, early detection initiatives and community talks, ongoing support for women living with cancer and their families, and on‑the‑ground partnerships with healthcare teams and organisations that deliver real impact.

Throughout, an all‑women event team—many cancer survivors, health professionals, and women who simply care—has your back every step.

Relocating to the Algarve

Living in the Algarve suits an outdoorsy routine year‑round. On the coast, you’ve got Atlantic surf in Sagres, paddleboarding inside Ria Formosa, open‑water swims on Algarve's top Blue Flag beaches, and plenty of tennis, padel and golf around Vilamoura.

Pick your base based on the terrain you want. The west is wilder and great if you want waves, trail running, and epic hikes around Portugal. Central Portugal stays practical for gyms, pools and club tennis, while the east around Tavira is flatter for easy rides and lagoon paddles.
