Cascais, Lisbon and the Algarve are home to the most expensive streets to buy a property in Portugal, at a time when real estate prices are (still) rising. The most expensive and exclusive address is in Aldeamento Vilar do Golf, in Quinta do Lago, Algarve. The owners of this area ask for an average of 2,897,585 euros to anyone who wants to buy one of their luxurious houses, according to a study conducted by the real estate website idealista.
In second place is Rua Buenos Aires de Estrela (Lisbon) with an average price of 2,788,462 euros, followed by Rua das Palmeiras de Quinta da Marinha (Cascais), which ranks third (2,562,174 euros). In fourth place is Avenida Marginal in the area of Cascais and Estoril (2,317,682 euros).
At the center of the ranking are Rua Rodrigues Sampaio, located next to Avenida da Liberdade in Lisbon, with a value of 2,244,545 euros, and Rua Jasmin (Cascais), where the average price of luxury homes is around 2,210,000 euros.
The seventh most expensive street is Rua do Canavial, in Lagos in the Algarve, where buying a property costs an average of 2,208,500 euros. The list of the ten most expensive streets is completed with the Urbanização Pine Cliffs in Albufeira (2,134,000 euros), Avenida da Venezuela (2,061,667 euros) and Avenida Dom Nuno Álvares Pereira (1,981,316 euros), both in Cascais.
For the elaboration of this study, idealista analysed the absolute average price of the apartments and villas advertised in the same street. In order to avoid distortions in the data, only streets with a minimum of 10 advertisements were considered, even eliminating duplicate properties. This study only reveals the average street price, which does not mean that they are the most expensive properties in each market.
