Fortunately, Lisbon offers easy access to some of Portugal's most beautiful beaches, making for a great day trip or weekend getaway. The closest beach to Lisbon city centre is Praia de Algès, just 9.5 kilometres away by a small port. However, this is not the most scenic spot, and the Lisbon coast features many other amazing beaches that are slightly off the beaten path, offering prettier settings to spend the day. Praia de Carcavelos
