The Algarve is set to get a brand-new luxury resort: Conrad Meia Praia Algarve, just a few minutes’ drive from Lagos. Opening in spring 2027, it will feature 116 rooms and suites with private pools and sea views, plus 21 branded Conrad residences.

Guests can enjoy a wealth of amenities, including two restaurants, a contemporary beach club, bars, indoor and outdoor pools, a spa, fitness centre, and event spaces.

Developed by a joint venture between PGIM Real Estate, Sonae Sierra, and Iberian Hospitality Solutions (IHSP) under a franchise agreement, this marks the second collaboration with Hilton.

“This exceptional beachfront resort strengthens our Conrad portfolio in the region and offers a new way to experience luxury in one of Portugal’s most sought-after destinations,” said Dan Wakeling, Hilton VP – Luxury & Residential Europe, Middle East & Africa.

Dino Michael, Hilton’s Senior VP of Luxury Brands, described the resort as “an extraordinary canvas where bold design, intuitive service, and the Algarve’s natural beauty create a stay that is both rooted in its location and transformative.”

The project reflects the joint venture’s strategy to acquire, develop, and manage high-quality hotel assets in top tourist destinations. Hilton’s current Portuguese portfolio includes 30 operational hotels and 14 in development, with more luxury properties planned across Europe, including Waldorf Astoria Admiralty Arch and Sandblu Santorini, LXR Hotels & Resorts.
