Cristiano Ronaldo is to do more work on his luxury penthouse located in Lisbon's Castilho 203 building, located in one of the most exclusive areas of Lisbon. The city council instructed him to remove an 'unsightly' gazebo which had to be demolished in 2021, but now the Portuguese footballer has received permission from the capital to build a rooftop pergola in that space.
To avoid further problems in property said to be worth £6.5 million, the star has reportedly asked for the green light in advance from Lisbon City Council. And it seems, according to the British newspaper the Daily Mail, that Ronaldo already has a permit to build a pergola on the roof. The works should be completed by July of this year.
Recall that in 2021, after it was reported that the construction of the marquee was illegal - the extra space was not in the original project designed by the architects for this outdoor area - and an inspection in the municipality, CR7 was forced to remove the controversial glass structure.
Ronaldo's luxury penthouse has a 360-degree view of the capital, three bedrooms, two swimming pools (one indoor and one outdoor), a gym, sauna and cinema. The residential building situated in the heart of the capital belongs to Vanguard Properties and has a total of 19 luxury flats.
The flat of the five-time Ballon d'Or winner, who left Manchester United under a "black cloud" for Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia, became the most expensive property in the country's history when he bought it in July 2018.
