
Azores digital nomads: the municipality of Ribeira Grande, in the Azores, has created an online platform to attract digital nomads, a "strategic claim" of the executive of the municipality on the north coast of the island of São Miguel in the Azores. The platform will include "useful information" such as "work infrastructures with good internet accessibility, accommodation, restaurants and activities". We have the details.
In a statement, the municipality said the "Digital Nomads RG" platform aims to be a "gateway to digital nomads" who want to work remotely in the municipality of Ribeira Grande in the Azores. "The attraction of digital nomads is a strategic goal of this city council. From now on, the doors of the municipality are open to receive this public," reads the statement.
Quoted in the statement, the mayor of the municipality, social democrat Alexandre Gaudêncio, stressed that digital nomads will be able to "take advantage of the municipality's potential", which will "strengthen the local economy, given the purchasing power" of digital nomads.
This new online platform for digital nomads in the Azores will contain:

- details of events dedicated to digital nomads
- useful information, such as "work infrastructures with good Internet access, accommodation, restaurants and activities".
Located on the north coast of São Miguel, the municipality of Ribeira Grande has around 31,000 inhabitants, according to the 2021 Census.
