Every once and a while, we like to open the doors of a truly amazing property and let you have a look around. This particular property is particularly special: it's a project that hasn't come off paper yet but could potentially find its home in Portugal, not to mention that it also seems to defy the laws of gravity. Designed by Yakusha Design studio, this glass house, christened "The Air", is suspended (literally) over the Atlantic Ocean, as the name itself may lead you to think.
The project, which is still just a concept for the moment - a proposal as original as it is spectacular - would be a refuge for surfers in Portugal, according to AD magazine.
The 270 degree views would be possible thanks to glass that covers practically the entire external structure and contrasts with the other building elements: cement and wood. "The idea behind it all is to create a sense of lightness in the seaside architecture", reveals Yakusha Design studio, quoted by the publication. "On the one hand, the house is completely open and honest, almost transparent, and on the other, it has this point of return to its origins, of union with nature and simplification to the maximum".
The furniture, all custom-made, combines with the spaces to underline the harmony between all the rooms, which seem to flow without separations.
