Many houses are built using natural bricks and are located on the mountain slopes, from where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the ocean. At the same time, it should be kept in mind that even if your villa is on the first line closest to the sea, you’ll still have to walk a fair distance to the seafront or even go by car.

In the area are many villas with gardens, golf courses and other places to enjoy varied leisure activities. The most luxurious houses are built in the mountains, surrounded by pine and eucalyptus forests, a little way away from the main tourist routes. The people who live here are those who want to buy a house by the sea in Portugal to relax from the hustle and bustle of the city and the noise.

The Algarve, the most popular place in southern Portugal, is famous for its golf courses and beaches. In many coastal territories, construction is strictly regulated by law. Among the biggest buyers are the British, so there are plenty of facilities which cater to the needs and desires of English-speakers. That said, demand is currently increasing among French, Scandinavian, Chinese and South African ex-pats. The most expensive properties and plots of land in the Algarve are located in the premium "Golden Triangle" area, where the spas of Vale do Lobo, Quinta do Lago, Vilamoura and Pine Cliffs are located.
