WellBe, a new sustainable office project in Parque das Nações, is due to open at the end of 2024 and is expected to accommodate around 3,200 people. At stake is a building with 27,635 square metres (m2) of office space and around 1,240 m2 of retail space.

According to CBRE, which managed WellBe, a project by ATENOR and BESIX RED, the building has a privileged location in Parque das Nações and "aims to meet the present and future expectations of users". "In this way, it takes into account the conditions that promote well-being, sustainability and ensure that the office space is not an obstacle to the lifestyle of all those who will use it. Among the many architectural and technological features and solutions, the large areas of green space and the views over the River Tagus(...) stand out," the consultancy said in a statement.

Quoted in the note, Frederico Mondril, Director of Property Management Offices at CBRE Portugal, says it is "an iconic and differentiating project". "Our aim is to ensure that it materialises and complies with what was conceived in order to help improve the lives and experiences of the companies that will occupy this building and, specifically, its people," he adds.

According to the consultant, from an ESG point of view, along with the expectation of WELL Platinum and Passive House certification, the development also intends to have ADENE's class A energy certificate, as well as BREEAM Excellent and WiredScore certifications.

"The WellBe project incorporates sustainability, innovation and is the new standard for the future of workspaces in Portugal. WellBe is not just an office building; it is further proof of our commitment to developing projects that prioritise ESG values and the well-being of their future occupants," says Gregory Van der Elst, ATENOR's Country Director.

"We want WellBe to become the ideal office space, serving responsible, forward-thinking companies to attract the best talent," comments Nicolas Goffin, Country Director of BESIX RED Portugal.
