Camping isn't what it used to be. Now there are even more options, some not so traditional ones and some more glamorous ones. “Glamping”, so called because it combines luxury, more glamourous accommodation with nature, has conquered even the most sceptical, offering an experience of comfort and luxury. Reserva Alecrim Amazing Glamping & Eco Suite Resort in the Portuguese city of Santiago do Cacém, has put a selection of luxury tents up for sale in idealistia: a 42 m2 tent is worth 72,000 euros.
What is known as a "dome", resembles a bubble-shaped house with a bedroom, equipped kitchen and a "stylishly decorated" bathroom, according to the idealista ad. With capacity for up to four people, it also has a "huge private balcony of more than 30 m2", air conditioning, a fireplace, a solar panel to heat water, 24 hour security and internet.
This "country house" is part of the Alecrim Reserve "with a complete and professional support structure": it has natural swimming pools, a bar, reception, concierge and cleaning services, walking trails and "many experiences nearby".
Return on investment
The company that claims that the "domes" guarantee tourist return rates of up to 22% per year, ensuring the management and operation of those who decide to buy them that the owner is given their correct monthly income.
"The cost of the purchase (72,000 euros) gets you one of these “minicasas” (mini houses), without the land that is rented monthly. This rent is paid directly by the tent owner with the income obtained from the tourist rental and is deducted from the income of the owner," as explained in the ad.
