Cristiano Ronaldo is building a new mansion in one of Portugal’s most prestigious residential areas. The Portuguese footballer will join the list of celebrities that have a house in the prestigious Quinta da Marinha neighbourhood in Cascais. Ronaldo, who currently plays for Juventus in Italy, has bought a plot of land in what is one of the most exclusive areas in the country.

Work on Cristiano Ronaldo's new property has already started and within four years the plot of land with an area of 8,991m2, will be home to a mansion much larger than those already existing in the complex. And this is not the first real estate investment made by Ronaldo in mainland Portugal in recent years: he also owns a flat on Avenida da Liberdade and a luxury penthouse, the most expensive ever sold in Portugal, in Rua Castilho, both in Lisbon.

The news was announced by the Portuguese weekly magazine SÁBADO, where it is written that in the most famous plot in Quinta da Marinha will be home to a property that will have a full sea view from the first floor. "The earth tones and the glass terraces will play with the landscape, in a minimalist way", says the publication, adding that Vítor Vitorino is the architect chosen by Cristiano Ronaldo to design the property.

According to the magazine, the footballer's plot is registered in the name of the company Senta e Cinco Lote S.A., and before the plot was in the hands of Cristiano Ronaldo, an 899m2 restaurant was going to be built on the site.

At the end of last year, the council gave permission for the construction of a villa which amounts to 10% of the size of the plot, i.e. a property of 899 m2, not including the basement area. "It will have twice the average construction size of the neighbouring plots," writes the magazine, noting that the plot of land was bought by Cristiano Ronaldo in December 2019, for a value well thought to be between 7 and 8 million euros

According to the magazine, Hugo Dinarte Santos Aveiro, Cristiano Ronaldo's brother, took over as chairman of the board of directors of Senta e Cinco Lote S.A. and two friends also became shareholders. At the same time, it is not known if Cristiano Ronaldo will live in this mansion in Cascais in the future or, for example, in one of the other houses he owns in Lisbon.
